THE BODY SHOP'S BLACK MUSK NIGHT BLOOM FRAGRANCE & NEW LAUNCHES

Recently I was invited by The Body Shop Malaysia to the launch of their newest fragrance, the Black Musk Night Bloom. I've been a fan of the Body Shop since school but mostly because of their skincare products. Fragrances are new to me even though I know they have had different ranges since forever but I wasn't really keen to try since I'm not the type that like fragrances. Why? I easily get headaches with scents, especially strong ones. That's why I don't tend to randomly scent fragrances and a good thing my husband is really picky with his perfumes as well. Surprisingly he reacted differently to the Black Musk Night Bloom fragrance. Even before I managed to open it, he took it from my hands first and sprayed it which his first reaction to it was not what I expected. Keep reading to know why.

The Body Shop came out with a few new products and the highlight of them all is their Black Musk Night bloom fragrance which they aim invoke and excite your sultry side with its most sensual, seductive fragrance to date.

Inspired by flowers that blossom at night to reveal their secret, alluring scents, Black Musk Night Bloom takes the brand’s signature oriental fragrance 'Black Musk' to a whole new level that’s deeper, fiercer and irresistibly tempting.

With intense, floral notes of creamy ylang ylang and heliotrope blended with juicy red berries, and warm musk. The Body Shop dares you to resist flirting with their new, 100% vegan, cruelty-free collection.

Someone took the dare and fell in love, which was no other than my husband. As soon as he sprayed to test it out, his reaction totally changed and I knew it was way beyond from what he expected. I'm not really keen on fragrances but I do love the ones that my husband uses and he's really picky about fragrances. Then he said he's gonna use it for work tomorrow, but I didn't even offer him. LOL... He then says he wants to get another one, 60ml isn't enough for him. Haha...
Anyways, the scent is nice and has kinda of a soft yet strong scent to it and of course, I love it more scenting it on my husband. ;p

One of the main reasons why I love The Body Shop is that their cruelty-free and I've always been hoping that the suffer of animals should stop forever in this world. The founder of The Body Shop, Anita Roddick, not only successfully campaigned against animal cruelty, she redefined how we think about fragrances. Deer are cruelly treated to extract the musk gland, so in 1981 The Body Shop introduced the world to White Musk, one of the first fragrances to pioneer ethical, 100% vegan musk.

Did you know that The Body Shop was one of the first beauty companies to use organic, fairly traded alcohol in its fragrances? The Community Trade organic alcohol in this new range is sustainably sourced from Native in São Paulo, Brazil. Native produce the alcohol by distilling ripe sugarcane from regenerated land in a self-sufficient, certified carbon neutral mill, using the discarded cane
to generate electricity. Native provide employment to over 300 local women in a rural area with limited opportunities. They’ve also personally planted over 1 million trees in the last 30 years.

Another newly launched product is their hydrating faces mists which comes in several flavours. Purposed to help give moisturization to the skin 24/7 suited for those with a busy lifestyle. This mist is one of the options to instantly rehydrate the skin within seconds without smudging your makeup.

Offering 5 different face mists from the same range, each is prettily bottled to uplift you in its own unique way, making them addictively collectable. Each mist has its own purpose which looks after your skin needs throughout the day, it's an instant fix.

I received 2 of their face mists to try out which are the Mint Mattifying and Rose Dewy Glow, retails RM39 each. The Mint Mattifying is infused with a winning combination of mint from Nicaragua, kaolin clay powder from the UK, and seaweed extract from Ireland. This mist instantly controls shine and reduces excess oil to help control your sebum levels. While the Rose Dewy Glow is loaded with reflective particles, this mist gives skin a dewy, illuminated glow for an instant confidence boost. Mixed with a blend of raspberry essence and cherry water from France, and Community Trade British rose essence.

These face mists are enriched with the community trade organic aloe vera. The Body Shop sources their high-quality organic aloe vera, one of nature’s most resilient plants, from Campeche in south-east Mexico, supporting local farmers who are dedicated to protecting their local biodiversity. The succulent organic aloe leaves are hand-harvested, hand-washed and hand-filleted within 6 hours. Processing within this time helps to preserve maximum freshness, ensuring the highest-quality aloe vera is used in each product, with as much moisture locked in as possible.

The Body Shop is also introducing its first complete men’s skincare and grooming range. It features four unique, natural-origin ingredient combinations that have the power to help deliver exactly what your men skin needs. While the new upliftingly vibrant Guarana & Coffee Energising Cleanser helps skin look purified and feeling fresh, the new Guarana & Coffee Energising Moisturiser quenches skin with ultralight hydration. Both energise the skin with a blend of guarana seeds from Brazil and caffeine-rich green coffee beans from Ethiopia.

My husband is currently using this and so far I could see that his skin is no longer dry, he didn't specifically say he likes it but he's using it which is a sign he doesn't hate it. I've been forcing him to actually cleanse his face with skincare for almost a year now but always failed, suddenly he's okay with giving this a try.
