My Thoughts on Jumiso Super Soothing Cica & Aloe Facial Serum

Honestly, I wasn't really eager to try this serum at first, probably because of how it looked. LOL... Its packaging looks a bit unattractive but I applied to do a review on this anyway as I have never tried any Jumiso products and I've been quite curious how good the brand is. The price tag isn't moderate as well. This bottle is RM100+ sold here in Malaysia. Yikes! So when I received it I did a bit of study on its INCI list and boy I was surprised how actually I couldn't wait to start using it, so I used it straight away!

Soothing Ingredients Used

Let's talk about its main ingredient which is Cica and Aloe. Both these ingredients are highly known for their antioxidant properties and highly soothing as well. A combination of both these ingredients in one serum makes it sound even better. Wait till you get to its 7 layers of hyaluronic acid. Oh My! Soothing and major hydrating properties in one. This serum is killing it already. We all know how amazing hyaluronic acid does to the skin, so with 7 different types combined this must be super hydrating. Did I mention about Amino acids yet? Well, I haven't read much about this ingredient but it is said to work amazingly with Ceramide to build and protect the skin barrier. A great thing I paired this serum with my Mamonde Ceramide Emulsion and my Madeca Derma Revitalizing Cream. Anyhow, the ingredient list looks great as it's free from certain parabens and alcohols.

Packaging

The packaging is still a turndown for me, I still strongly feel that it looks cheap for the price it is selling. Well, let's think positive and think that Jumiso focuses more on the ingredients in the serum rather than the packaging which we mostly throw away. But they did use a glass jar instead of a plastic one so that's a point given. Other than that, the design and the dropper looks and feel cheap.

Semi-gel Texture

It's light but it's almost like a gel. I don't know how to put it in exact words but the texture is good enough for me. It does take a bit of time to get it fully absorbed into the skin and it has a slightly sticky feeling after application. Which don't bother me much as the serum ain't the last step in skincare.

Very Soft Scent

It's almost like having no scent at all.

Shrank my acne and soothe irritation

It reacted really good to my skin. I was trying out a new skincare range a couple of weeks back which resulted in my getting acne and irritated skin. I stopped using the products one by one since I was using the whole range. When I stopped using its serum, I tried out Jumiso's Cica & Aloe serum instead but of course, I didn't see instant results. When I completely stopped using the new skincare range, I switched back to my previous skincare products which ceramide as the main ingredient for my morning routine and Cica for the main ingredient in my night routine. I, however, used Jumiso's serum for my day and night routine without miss and I was surprised how fast my acne shrunk and I didn't seem to be getting new ones.

I know it worked because of this serum because I didn't use anything new from my previous routine except for Jumiso's serum. I still have the acne scars showing but its almost faded which to me is very fast since I've literally tried this serum for a week over only. I've used like 20% off the bottle already, which I predict would last a month if I use it continuously day and night each day.

Overall Thoughts

This is definitely a good serum for soothing. It does its purpose and it gives ample hydration to the skin. It works well with other types of products and ingredients which resulted in shrinking my acne within just a week of using this. I hardly see results this fast
