Ingredients
Looking into the full list ingredients of Aprilskin's Real Carrotene Blemish Clear Vita Pad, it's key ingredients are Carrot, and exfoliating agents Salicylic Acid and PHA and also 12 types of Vitamins.
Carrot is known for its soothing properties and this product contains almost everything from the carrot which are carrot water, carrot seed oil, carrot protein and also Beta-Carotene.
While for the exfoliating agents, it contains PHA and Salicylic Acid. Gluconolactone is the PHA and Salicylic Acid from Wintergreen Leaf Extract. This is my first time hearing Salicylic Acid from this plant so I don't have much info on it.
Other than that, this Vita Pad contains 12 types of Vitamins; A, E, C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12 . However, I don't recognise all the INCI's yet but looking into the ingredients list overall, it's mostly made with good ingredients for the skin without icky and less comedogenic ingredients. Aprilskin claims that their products are free from parabens sulfates and artificial fragrances.
Packaging
The packaging is so pretty, the vibrant orange colour surely makes it appealing even from afar. However, this plastic jar doesn't seem to work that good. When this arrived at my doorstep its serum was already spilt a bit. I also find the cap a bit tricky to close and open it properly and somehow I don't feel it secure enough to protect the product inside as it may not be that air-tight. However, I love that Aprilskin gives a clipper inside. A thing I wish they could change is to make the jar less bulky since the pads inside are way smaller than the actual jar. The jar takes up quite some space on my vanity.
Texture
The pads are mostly the same as most Korean products that come out with the same type of product. It has double-sided texture while one is clear and another with embossed dots. To me, both sides don't do much difference since the feel is still the same when used.
However, I do find these pads very moisturising and one pad could cover the whole face before it completely dries up. These pads are able to hold quite an amount of essence inside.
Scent-Wise
The scent is so so nice! It smells sweet and fruity. Some people may say it has a strong scent but to me, it isn't that strong. I've used products with even stronger scents. A great thing about this product that it uses plant extract for perfuming so there's no irritating ingredient coming from the fragrance.
Experience
I've used this a couple of times just to try out, I haven't fully used it yet since I have quite a number of exfoliating products opened so I tend to finish them off first before I start using this.
However, during my couple of tries, I find that these pads are very hydrating and it doesn't leave my skin dry after application. I've read reviews that these pads will help get rid of small acne bumps and create flawless-looking skin. This is definitely making me eager to try out Aprilskin's Carotene Vita Pad as soon as I can, so probably I'll squeeze this in my skincare routine soon.
Overall Thoughts
After decoding the ingredients, I instantly felt like this is a good product but still I haven't fully tried it yet so I can't really say. I'll try using these Vita Pads 3 times a week on my exfoliating days and see how it goes. If I don't seem to get any bad side effects, I'll try using them only a daily basis since Aprilskin claims its okay for daily use. Once I have the results I'll post back an update of the review here.
