My Thoughts on Some By Mi AHA.BHA.PHA 30 Days Acne Foam
Ingredients
Looking into the full list of ingredients of Some By Mi AHA.BHA.PHA 30 Days Miracle Foam, its key ingredients are Salicylic Acid, Mugwort, Cica and also Tea Tree. The list of ingredients combined looks pretty good with sebum control and anti-bacterial ingredients, it surely is a good cleanser for acne. However, it does contains quite a number of low comedogenic ingredients which those with really sensitive skin should be careful of.
Packaging
It comes in a fully covered soft plastic tube. Its design is simple and complete with Korean and English instructions. The INCI list is stated clearly on the box. The tube squirts out the product inside easily so I have no complaints about the packaging.
Texture
It's thick and very creamy
Scent-Wise
It has quite a strong woody scent which is not to my liking. In the INCI list, peppermint oil is stated which should be the source of fragrance. I actually love peppermint scent but this one has a weird kind of scent for me.
Experience
I did not experience any irritation or redness while or after using this. It does result in my skin feeling tight and dry after washing my face with this. While using this, it's really foamy either by washing with a cleansing device or manually by hand.
Overall Thoughts
It does what it claims, I could see fewer blackheads and also my acne is has reduced. However, I'm using the whole range of Some By Mi's AHA. BHA. PHA range, so I don't think the cleanser played the sole role in giving me clearer skin. For now, I'm in between with this cleanser, it does seem to work great with my skin but I don't like the scent and how drying it feels after using it.
I'm also a bit concern about using exfoliating products on a daily basis, even though this cleanser is said to be mild which is safe for everyday use, I feel like containing all types of exfoliating agents in one product should make it a bit strong, which results in a fast skin reaction. However, I am not a chemist so I have nothing to back up my words. But for me, I'll probably use this cleanser once or twice a week after I finished experimenting on this range.
