My Thoughts on Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Review

Ingredients
Looking into the full list of ingredients for Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Review, there's nothing much to look at as it's made off 100% Centella Asiatica Extract. Also known as Cica and Tiger Grass which I bet all of you have heard off. Cica is one of my favorite ingredients in a skincare product as I know it can calm my skin. I hardly have problems using Cica based products, so Skin1004's Cica Ampoule is definitely a must-try for me.

Packaging
Packaging is certainly an upgrade compared to its old one. In fact, Skin1004 made a full appearance change for its whole brand, which now makes the brand look more elegant. I indeed love its new look. The ampoule now comes in a see-through glass bottle with a screw dropper. The packaging is embossed with a velvety feel which surely makes this brand feel more expensive now.

Texture
Just like water, and easily absorbs. No sticky feel at all.

Scent-Wise
Minimal to no scent at all

Experience
When I first tried this Centella Ampoule in the past, it worked incredibly great to help soothe down my acne experience, but it started to become less effective after a while. That was when I started using more potent acids in my skincare routine. So I stopped and never repurchased ever since.

Now it has been a year since I last used this ampoule, so I thought I wanted to use it again (the new packaging is a strong reason) as I wanted to incorporate Alpha Arbutin in my skincare regime the first time. I needed another serum to balance the active as I felt The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Serum is a bit too dry, so I used it as a spot treatment. Since Skin1004's Centella Ampoule is made with 100% Cica Extract, I felt this should be a good option to pair it with my Arbutin Serum. And indeed it showed great results pairing it together.

I reduced my acne scars with Arbutin, and my skin feels hydrated and balances with this Cica ampoule. Since Cica contains antioxidants to help with most skin problems, it is also less risky to use for any skin type too. From my past experience, I mentioned that this ampoule no longer shows effectiveness after I started using actives, but now I pair it with an active, and I haven't had a new zit ever since. So I can always turn to Skin1004's Cica Ampoule when I'm experiencing a bad breakout from an active. It's like the ampoule helps reset back my skin.

Overall Thoughts
I now am gonna always make sure I have this ampoule in stock. Since I'm actively using actives all year round, I tend to break out a lot too. Ever since I've tried Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule again for the past few weeks, I haven't yet seen a new zit, and I have incorporated new skincare products in my skincare regime too. I can say this ampoule is like a balancer for me; it provides me with enough whatever my skin needs, mostly hydration. I'll probably keep pairing this with more actives and see how it goes. For now, I've tried pairing this with Arbutin and face oil, I still haven't seen any breakouts, and I'm acne-prone.
