My Thoughts on Medicube Red Serum

Ingredients
Looking into the full list of ingredients for Medicube Red Serum, its main ingredients are plant extracts. Medicube promotes Ovalicin as its main ingredient, which functions to maintain and balances sebum production. The INCI list is long, and it's full of plant extracts placed at the bottom of the INCI list.

Some plant extracts to highlight are Green Tea, Centella Asiatica, Chamomile, Ginger, Mugwort, and many more soothing, skin-loving ingredients. This serum also contains Salicylic Acid and Tea Tree Leaf Oil, which of course, are the main ingredients focusing on controlling sebum production and pores. Overall the INCI list seems acceptable; however, it does contain alcohol.

Packaging
The packaging seems simple; it comes in a small, fully covered plastic bottle with a pump head. The serum does not come with a lid cover, just a lid protector, which I find better. I usually lose lids with pump heads because I don't think I need them. Packaging with pump heads is the best, and it's hygienic too. It also comes with an outer packaging box which labels are in English and Korean. I'm still mad that their INCI list is in Korean because that is the most important thing of all, so everyone should be able to read it straight away.

Texture
It's a lightweight runny serum that indeed absorbs super quick into the skin. It leaves a shiny finish after application, but that doesn't last after cream application.

Scent-Wise
It has quite a strong plant scent.

Experience
As I mentioned in my past posts for this range, I've been using this serum together with its other products in my morning routine for a month now. I have also not experienced any bad reaction while or after the application of this serum.

My skin is acne-prone, so it's normal for me to get new zits almost every week. But so far, using this range, I'm surprised that I only got one or two new zits within the entire month. My face hasn't been this clear from acne for quite a while already; what's left is just past scars that are so hard to heal.

What makes me even impressed is for my night routine, I've been using face oil. So you all know acne-prone skin should be on red alert with face oils, but my skin didn't break out.

Overall Thoughts
Medicube Red Serum is a decant serum for me. I can say it does its job, and I like how easily it absorbs into the skin. However, it may seem a bit pricey with the small size sold, but if it works then, it should be worth the price. I do recommend this serum for those who are dealing with acne most of the time.
