Ingredients
Looking into the complete list of ingredients for Medicube Red Toner, its active ingredients are Ovalicin, Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid, Ginger Extract, Willow Bark and Tea Tree Oil. Medicube highlights Ovalicin as its main ingredient, but it's placed at the bottom of the INCI list. The Ovalicin is patented, and an essential ingredient in taking care of acne maintains and balances sebum production, preventing acne from turning into severe acne.

Sitting at the top of the INCI list is water and Methyl Gluceth, a corn-based naturally derived emollient noted for its safety and mildness that imparts a smooth and silky feel on the skin. I'm not familiar with this ingredient, but I kinda have a feeling this is the leading cause of its texture.

Moving on, other ingredients are Niacinamide for brightening, White willow bark extract and Tea Tree as a moisturizing, antibacterial agent. Also, salicylic Acid for gently exfoliating and Ginger Extract to calm skin. This toner also contains several soothing plant extracts like Green Tea and also Blue Chamomile.

Overall the INCI list looks promising with no comedogenic ingredients and filled with great ingredients. However, it does contain Alcohol at the top of the INCI list.

Packaging
It comes in a fully covered hard plastic bottle with a silver screw cap. Packaging is neat and simple, making it look exclusive. It comes with a paper box too which labels are in English and Korean. Again, the design is neat and simple, but still, it's a fail for me because the INCI list is in Korean!

Medicube should really take a look into this as they are an international brand. Even I did find it hard to get their INCI list too. Their main website is in Korean; the Malaysia website has no INCI list included too. I managed to obtain the INCI list from their US website, but I'm still unsure if the INCI is up to date since I cannot read the packaging box.

Texture
The texture of this red toner is fascinating. Instead of a watery toner, you'll be surprised by how vicious and thick it is. It's so vicious that you might think that it is a light gel-cream at first. However, this clear toner isn't runny, so it may take a bit of effort to get the right amount of toner out from the bottle. Several times, I accidentally poured out more than I needed, but that isn't really a problem. This toner is very lightweight and glides like water on the skin, making the absorption rate so quick. As a result, this toner manages to sink into the skin within seconds, creating a cooling and refreshing sensation with plump and hydrated skin.

Scent-Wise
It does not have an overwhelming scent, but you can still smell it slightly upon application. It doesn't smell fragrancy which is good.

Experience
I've been using this toner for about a month now in my morning skincare routine. I find Medicube's red cleanser to be a bit drying, so applying this red toner instantly resolves that problem and provides instant hydration back into my skin. The feel of the application is indeed pleasing with its cooling and soothing sensation. I can feel that it sinks way into the skin as my skin feels hydrated and plump almost instantly after use.

Overall Thoughts
Medicube Red Toner is a great toner to try! Its texture is slightly different from what we imagine toners to be, but this toner works magically with acne-prone skin. I'm acne-prone skin, and within 2 weeks of using this range, my skin seemed to be clear from new acne. The experience using this toner too is very satisfying; I can say that this toner has made it into my favourite list.
