My Thoughts on Pyunkang Yul's Calming Balm

Ingredients
Looking into the full list of ingredients for Pyunkang Yul Calming Moisture Repair Balm, its main ingredients are Tea Tree, Honeysuckle, Shea Butter, Centella Asiatica and also Hyaluronic Acid. The top of the INCI list is filled with skin-loving ingredients which are meant for soothing and hydrating. However, the bottom part of the INCI list contains quite a number of irritating and comedogenic ingredients.

Packaging
It comes in a small see-through plastic jar with a screw cap. At first glance, I thought it would be glass, but turns out it's actually plastic. Which made the product feel a bit cheap, but that's not important as long as the packaging is able to do its job. Besides, the perk is that it's lighter to carry around.

Texture
It has indeed a balm texture. A viscous balm with a slightly rough feels while spreading it on the face. It takes time to absorb but melts smoothly into the skin.

Scent-Wise
It has minimal scent to no scent at all

Experience
I've been using this Balm from Pyunkang Yul for 2 weeks straight now. At first, I tried for a week, but I didn't like how it took time to absorb into the skin so I left it aside for over a month before I started using it again. The second time of using this my thoughts changed though. It did still take time to absorb into the skin, but this time I've been applying it thinly at first and then building it up. That way I found it easier and quicker absorption. What I can say I'm currently loving is how smooth it makes my skin feel. It also retains moisture on the skin for hours. I've been using it in my day and night routine too and it blends well with sunscreen too.

Overall Thoughts
Pyunkang Yul Calming Moisture Repair Balm should be a good try if you're looking for a balm formulation kind of cream. However, be careful for those with acne-prone skin as it does contain quite a number of comedogenic ingredients. This balm is also meant for those with sensitive skin, but it also contains alcohol and some irritating ingredients, which you may need to be careful with. However, my experience with Pyunkang Yul's Calming Balm is pleasant. I did not experience any irritations at all and my skin felt soothed and moist for hours.

My Rate
Rate: 4/5
Repurchase: Nope, I prefer cream textures instead of balms
