REVIEW: HE OR SHE DENTAL-CARE SIPPY CUP

When your baby reaches 6 months, it's time for you took to look into sippy cups as that time you will need to start training your child to drink plain water instead of milk only. Another reason is for them to learn sucking skills and sippy cups will help them achieve that skill without putting them at risk off choking. There are a lot of sippy cups to choose from, in the market, but which type should you be looking into. That's one of the first questions that will pop in mind for every mum, I was at that spot too and heads up, it could be confusing with so many choices. So let me put an ease to that by cutting down the list to one brand you can look into, which is 'He Or She'. Yes, He or She is a brand from Taiwan that was recently launched in Malaysia providing a few types of baby bottles you can look into too. But this post is to focus on their Dental-Care Sippy Cup which is one of a kind. Read on to know why....

I had my son try out this new Sippy Cup from He Or She which is Dental-care Sippy Cup. This brand recently came in Malaysia and my son is lucky to be among the first to try it out. As its name *He or She* this sippy cup comes in 2 colours, either blue or pink so obviously I chose blue. 😅 This sippy cup could be used from 6month+ for babies and toddlers to practise drink plain water. Its designed with dual-vent anti-colic valves to prevent your child from ingesting air which could cause choking. My son is already 2 years over but I still prefer using sippy cups as its easy to carry around and this cup guarantee no spills. What's most unique about this sippy cup is that its unique dental-care teat design. Little wings are added to the teat to help uniformly distribute applied force while sucking and also acts as an antibacterial teat as well. As I mentioned above, this sippy cup is mainly to help your child practice drinking plain water but it could be used as a milk bottle as well. My son prefers his milk inside. 😁 For more deets, wait for my blogposts, I'll be sharing details about this soon. . #HeOrSheMalaysia #UsAntibacteriaTechnology #wristbandteether #dentalcaresippycup . I just discovered about this sippy cup a few months ago and only had my son try it for the last couple of weeks. I have explored various types of sippy cups for my son since he was 6 months old. I jumped from one sippy cup to another as each sippy cup has it's very own unique style and property. But this Sippy Cup is definitely one of a kind from the various types of Sippy Cups I have had my son try before. Why?
Because this Sippy Cup is a Dental-Care Sippy Cup and its most unique property is its teat.
Little wings are added to the teat, to help babies and toddlers to uniformly distribute applied force while sucking, this can also help protect new teeth and allow them to grow in naturally. This teat is the first and only design of teat to help protect the teeth made from 100% silicone, soft, flexible, and designed for optimal compression.

It uses silicon + high polymer antibacterial material and BPA free for its teat and bottle which is resistant to heat up to 180°C. So you'll also have no problem using this sippy cup as a milk bottle as it also functions to help toddlers transitioning easily from bottle to cup.

Besides that, the 360°weighted straw follows the liquid, allowing the baby to latch and feed in any comfortable position. The unique weighted straw allows for doctor recommended upright feeding, helping to reduce reflux. 3D-fixed position handle is easy to grip. With dual-vent anti-colic valves also it helps prevent ingesting air so you won't have to worry your child on having a potential cause of colic or spit up

This sippy cup comes in 2 types:
  • 6oz/180ML, Stage 1 Spout
  • 9oz/280ML, Stage 2 Spout

MY THOUGHTS
This should be a good training sippy cup to help babies and toddlers practicing drinking plain water. My son is almost 3 years old now and he has no problem drinking water from bottles, cups, or even sippy cups. But I prefer to always have a sippy cup around as I won't have to deal with spills or having to fill up water in a cup every time he wants to drink. I have had him use Sippy Cups since he was 6 months old and have been changing to several sippy cups from time to time as each Sippy Cup has its own unique property and I like my son exploring. But it's okay to stick to one brand as long as it suits the child.

This He or She Sippy Cup is definitely great to start from the beginning as its teat will help with proper teething for the child. It surely is one of a kind, as all the Sippy Cups I have tried for my son, this is the only one I found with this kind of teat. It's super cute too, the cup looks just like a dolphin. What I love is that for Stage 2 cups, its a big bottle that holds up to 9oz but it doesn't look that big when compared with a 6oz bottle. The bottle design is very practical as it doesn't take up space which makes it easy to carry around. The lower part is slightly smaller than the upper part making it easy to put in any drink slots especially the one I have in my car. And the bottle isn't that tall too, which I'm so thankful for because it could fit in any bag I want with ease.

Another thing I like is that its 360°weighted straw. My son could drink any position he wants and trust me that's a really good feature as toddlers don't know how to stay still. My one can sit down, stand up, and lay down at the same time just to finish one bottle. This is my first sippy cup with a 360°weighted straw, so it makes a huge difference without it.

The sippy cup is easy to disassemble and assemble which makes it easy to clean. The only downside I find with this cup is that its handle is locked without being able to rotate 360°. So after cleaning the teat, you'll have to make sure the teat is properly placed aligned with the handle so your toddler won't have problem drinking.
