Review: Mamonde Ceramide Intense Cream Hibiscus

Review Mamonde Ceramide Intense Cream Hibiscus

Mamonde Ceramide Intense Cream has gained quite a number of reviews with great feedback. This is the last product in Mamonde Ceramide Hibiscus range and the most powerful one of all, well that's what I think of it. LOL... Its Intense Cream is pretty intense and even though you may think that's it's probably the night cream for this range, well yes that's could be true, but actually, the cream is truly intense compared to its light cream if you compare its ingredients list. I kinda shocked me too! So keep on reading to know more about what I mean...

Disclaimer: This product was sent to me for review purposes. I was not paid to write a review but that does not affect my thoughts on it. Do take note that my experience with this product may not be the same as yours as each skin type is different.

Before we go in detail for the product, let's get to know a bit about Ceramide and what it promotes. Ceramides are lipids that naturally occur in the skin. It's purposed to help the skin barrier and protect the skin from environmental stress. Get to know what Ceramide is.

What is Mamonde Ceramide Intense Cream?

Mamonde Moisture Ceramide Intense Cream Hibiscus is a moisturiser that could be used for the day or night routine. Mamonde describes it as a hibiscus moisture barrier cream that creates a strong skin barrier through impeccable adhesion and moisture. It's double the goodness from its Light Cream.

What Mamonde Claims on its Ceramide Intense Cream

1.Twice more enhanced active moisturizing ingredients of hibiscus

2. High concentration of ceramide originally developed by Mamonde for the strengthening of the skin's barrier

3. Double moisture barrier that's fundamentally different

Main Ingredients of the Intense Cream

Ceramide
Ceramide NP, Hydroxypropyl Bispalmitamide Mea, Hydroxypropyl Bislauramide Mea
Strengthen Skin Barrier
These are ceramides but  I'm not certain of the differences between the two. Probably this is what Mamonde meant with double the goodness as I couldn't see the other products in this range listed like this in its ingredient list.

Hibiscus
Hibiscus Syriacus Bark Extract
Retain Moisture
The Hibiscus flower in skincare has a reputation to increase moisture and lock it within the skin. It's also known as a natural source of AHA's which purposes to exfoliate and control oil.

Vitamin E
Tocopherol

My Thoughts on Mamonde Moisture Ceramide Intense Cream

If you read my review on Mamonde's Ceramide Light Cream, you'll already know that I'm a big fan of it even after using it twice but now when I finally tried the Intense Cream I feel like this is double the better since it's double the goodness. If you look visibly, you might not see much difference in the creams instead of its texture which the intense cream is rather thicker. Hence, most users opt for this cream as a night cream which is what I do to but you can also use this cream during the day with the usage of sunscreen afterward. I usually go for this cream during the day when I travel and have a minimal routine for my skincare. Which means I only use a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Just the basic rule, so since my skin is used to a 10-Step Routine, I make sure the moisturizer I choose it highly hydrating and the ceramide intense cream has been helping a lot with protecting my skin barrier as the ingredients inside is twice the goodness found in the light cream.

Of course, the main ingredients are Ceramide and the Hibiscus flower which I have mentioned in my previous posts. The difference of the Intense Cream is that they highlighted the use of Ceramide PC-104 is doubled, which I noticed in its ingredient list they listed 2 types of ceramide as well which are Hydroxypropyl Bispalmitamide Mea & Hydroxypropyl Bislauramide Mea. Besides that, other ingredients that are added in this cream that are not in the others in this range are Stearic Acid and Palmitic Acid which helps for skin barrier and retains moisture as well and. Oh yes, Vitamin E is added in too. The other products contain Acetic Acid too but they added Arachidic Acid which is another form of Niacinamide.

Ingredients
Looking into Mamonde ceramide intense cream ingredients it's key ingredients are ceramide and hibiscus. See full details of the ingredients decoded in incidecoder.com

Packaging
It seems that the Intense Cream has gone through a packaging change from when it first launched. It used to come in a jar as the Ceramide Light Cream but now it comes in a tube. Some may look as it as a downgrade as it doesn't look so fancy as it was before. But I on the other hand feels like this is an upgraded packaging that is more hygienic and easy to carry out. The new packaging is in an opaque tube which is air-tight. The perfect condition to protect the functionality of Ceramide which is a pretty sensitive ingredient as I've explained in my previous posts.

Texture
It's definitely thicker than their light cream but absorbs just as well in the skin.

Scent-Wise
This does contain artificial fragrance, but it only has a soft floral scent to it.

Experience
The same as its other products, I did not experience any bad reactions just good feels to the skin.

Overall Thoughts

I highly recommend this moisturizer, even without the other products in this range, this moisturizer should be more than enough to get your skin barrier covered. But of course, you'll have to make sure you use it properly with sunscreen and other hydrating products. Always keep in mind that the key to good skin is always hydration.

Overall Mamonde's Ceramide Intense Cream does its purpose. I pretty much relied a lot on this cream especially on days I have to travel light which I've been using this cream with samples as and it worked great. My skin usually turns out rough after a few days away from home but with this cream, I feel like I have never left out my normal skincare routine.
