Ingredients
Looking into the full ingredients list of Aprilskin Real Carrotene Air Sunscreen, it's key ingredients are Beta-Carotene and Niacinamide. Unlike the rest of the Carrotene family, the sunscreen only contains the root extract of the carrot while the other products in the range contain mostly the whole carrot. However, that doesn't mean it isn't effective.
Almost half of the INCI list are ingredients that I'm not familiar with, mostly are emulsions and emollients but the ingredients I'm familiar with are definitely to my liking. It contains great plant extracts such as ginseng, Chamomile and Cica which are fairly known for their antioxidant properties and how they help with clearing acne.
Aprilskin mentions that their formulation is non-nano which makes it this sunscreen the ability to sink in deep within the skin a give maximum protection from UV rays.
Packaging
I really love the packaging, it comes in a sleek plastic bright orange tube with an orangy rose gold cap. So pretty! Seeing it displayed on my vanity is definitely pleasing to look. I had experienced no spills at all, the packaging works great.
Texture
It's a very light white cream. almost like the viscosity of an emulsion. Very lightweight and absorbs in the skin straight away without leaving any white casts at all. It gives the skin an ample amount of hydration instantly and it's not sticky either. The texture of Aprilskin's Carrot Sunscreen is perfect for me,
Scent-Wise
Once opened up the lid, you'll be able to scent a fruity scent straight away without even needing to get it near your nose.
Experience
The experience using this sunscreen is definitely good over the past few weeks I've tried it. I definitely have no complaints. With no white cast problems or irritation and redness during the application, this sunscreen is ideal for me. It's a quick and easy sunscreen!
I'm currently experiencing acne breakouts so I've been using Aprilskin's Carrotene Range for my night routine and the sunscreen during the day. I can say that this sunscreen played a big role too in me seeing highly satisfying results with clearing my acne. So I could say that this sunscreen reliefs acne just like the rest of the products in its line.
Overall Thoughts
Honestly, I'm stunned by Aprilskin's Carrotene Sunscreen. I can't believe that this is actually a physical sunscreen and a sunscreen like this exist. With NO white cast and super easy to absorb, this sunscreen is like a dream, especially the feeling like there's nothing on after application. There's no stickiness at all and it creates no such shine after application as well. I've been using this daily for the past few weeks and I'm not sure if I could let this sunscreen go easily after I finished the bottle. Or maybe even worse, I may find other sunscreens just not good enough.
