Ingredients
Looking into the complete list of ingredients for Huxley More Than Moist Cream, its hero ingredient is the Sahara Cactus Seed Oil (Opuntia Ficus-Indica Stem Extract), a non-comedogenic oil high in Vitamin E and antioxidants. It also contains Shea Butter, Squalane and Beta-Glucan, which are all highly moisturizing ingredients.
Packaging
It comes in a clear glass jar with a plastic screw cap. The thick glass jar adds an instant premium feel to this cream and I really love how neat and simple Huxley products are. The jar comes in a box with the design of the Sahara Dessert matching all products within this range.
Texture
Super thick and white butter cream that melts during application. It's almost like a balm that turns into oil form while applying it. The texture doesn't glide well onto the skin, so it's best to patch it on in small amounts to make sure the whole face is covered. However, it does melt and absorbs quite quickly into the skin, especially when mixed with Huxley Light Oil.
Scent-Wise
It has a strong floral scent which could be overwhelming to some people, but I'm super addicted to the scent. It smells so good!
Experience
I can't get enough of this cream, I've used this for about 3 weeks, and I did not experience any bad reaction while and after application. I did, of course, get a few zits but not all over the face, just a spot for the past week. I can say that I drank too many sugary drinks, which are usually the cause of unexpected acne. The first 2 weeks using Huxley's Cream together with its toner and oil seemed to be great! My skin was clear and what's more important is that it's super hydrating.
I've been using Huxley's Moist Set for my night routine, and waking up each morning, my skin feels incredibly supple and hydrated. Huxley's Moist Cream pleases me the most because of its thick texture; I love using thick creams at night as I feel it's like a mask that locks moisture throughout the night.
Overall Thoughts
Huxley Secret Of Sahara Cream; More Than Moist is a great cream to use for those who loves thick and buttery creams, especially for those with super dry skin; this is for you. However, if you're feeling this cream is already off the list because of Fragrance, well, this is not for you. Huxley is known for Fragrance inside their products which is actually one of the selling points. Having Fragrance in skincare isn't actually bad; it's aimed to increase users experience with scent. But still, the final call depends on you.
Overall, my say for this cream is that it's indeed a repurchase for me. It hasn't been a month yet, but I've almost emptied out the tub. I'm the type that loves being generous with the application, incredibly thick and buttery creams. Even though it did worry me a bit about Fragrance, since I've tried Huxley products before, it still made me confident to try this cream as my skin seems to react well with products from this brand. The hydration Huxley's More Than Moist Cream provides is super good, which should indeed be highlighted.
